Sandy Claws

“Sandy Claws” is a joyful coastal blue crab created entirely from pressed flowers. Layered delphinium petals form the crab’s claws, legs, and body, blending soft shades of blue, indigo, and pale cream. White petals create a natural highlight in the center, while tiny botanical stems form the delicate antennae.

Scattered around the crab are small white dried blooms reminiscent of miniature sand dollars, giving the piece a playful ocean-floor feel. The soft tones, botanical texture, and whimsical character make “Sandy Claws” perfect for coastal décor, beach houses, bathrooms, kitchens, and gifts for ocean lovers.

All botanicals were grown or gathered in South Carolina and preserved using traditional pressing techniques. The original artwork was professionally photographed to capture every layer, vein, and petal detail.
